Week of December 1 - 6

This past week we:

- continued to write pattern rules and extend patterns in math
- started skip counting with money
- continued using estimation strategies

- worked with Mrs. Wajda to determine what constitutes a sentence, and focused on finding different types of nouns
- wrote a character sketch based on characters from a picture book that Ms. Hasani read to us
- focused on similes

- built our animal habitat dioramas in Science

- continued to look at world-wide organizations in Social Studies

Coming up this week:

- continue skip counting with money
- addition with regrouping

- continue to develop an understanding of what a sentence is, supported by Mrs. Wajda
- word work

- look at conservation issues in Science

- continue to explore people and organizations who have made a difference in Social Studies

It is most exciting that it is our turn to have in-line skating lessons this week on December 3, 4 and 5.
