January 7 - Homework Assignment

1.  How can you help the animals living in your community?  Please consider this question.
2.  Please complete both sides of the Math Maze addition practice sheet and return it to school tomorrow.

Welcome back, and best wishes for the
New Year.

This week we will be wrapping up our long study of Animal Life Cycles in Science, and beginning a unit on Building and Testing with a Variety of Materials.  During this unit, students will be making a variety of containers and structures, and we need help gathering materials for these projects.  Here is a list of what we need:

- small cardboard boxes
- skewers or popsicle sticks
- fabric
- small pieces of wood
- lids (from milk/juice cartons, or plastic Pringles tops)
- plastic forks/spoons
- paper or plastic cups/plates
- empty paper towel rolls
- bubble wrap
- styrofoam
- tape
- plasticine
- bendable wire

We hope that our families can help with these supplies, and thank you in advance for your consideration.
