- This week we compared numbers in math, and worked on skip counting
- We read more of Owls in the Family and did some related writing using the senses
- Students explored the difference between needs and wants
- We launched RAZ-Kids and Math Prodigy
- Students continued with animal classification and animal characteristics
- We worked on creating a prairie scene with water-colour effects
Looking ahead:
- Math: Comparing and ordering numbers, skip counting, and addition strategies
- Science: Animal classification continued and comparing life cycles of different animals
- Social Studies: Needs versus Wants and Quality of Life
- Literacy: Owls in the Family and related activities; journal pages and writing connected to literature
Monday, September 30
- Please see paper notice regarding Scholastic Book Orders
- We will be using computers this week so it will be important for students to have their ear buds or head sets; thank you to those who have already provided them
