Week of November 12-15, 2019

Friday, November 15, 2019

This week we:

- Wrote our opinion about the best potato chip flavour, supporting our position with details
- Learned how to draw a face, and then made self-portraits
- Worked with bar graphs (interpreting information and creating a graph from tallies)
- Worked on number patterns
- Focused on animal adaptations, both structural and behavioral
- Read the book "My Mouth is a Volcano" with Ms. Hasani and thought about ways to stop words from "erupting"

Next week we will:

- Spend more time with bar graphs
- Create and extend patterns with shapes
- Write an opinion piece on the charitable organization we would choose to support
- Look at the Convention on the Rights of the Child
- Continue to look at animal adaptations, as well as conservation issues
- Draw cartoon faces of ourselves
